BurtonReviews Wants to Pitch You Something (I Hope is Cool): Mr Nice Guy

So, I want to try something new. On a daily basis I have these ideas bouncing around my thought box. While most are weird, absurd, and never should be spoken out loud   in fear of no one ever wanting to speak to me ever again. But, once in a blue moon, one idea ricochets off my skull that is actually of some worth and I just can't shake it. For days I'm playing the scenarios of the story over and over again, each time adding new layers, expanding the story into a more cohesive and living, breathing form.   And having idea's like this stuck in your mind can drive you crazy, I bet my friends are sick of hearing me pitch these ideas as a way of trying to release the pressure in my mind as the stories I have concocted are just itchy to burst out and exist in the real world. So, to relieve this pressure, I thought why not release the skeleton of the idea in a new series and see what people think, whether it’s “you’re a crazy idiot,” or, “yo that’s pretty good,” I don’t mind; I

Three days ago Netflix released the second season of their surprisingly grabbing and intensely cool animated show: Voltron. After literally watching Netflix until it refreshed itself and updated the show to include its second season, at 8:20am to be exact, I plunged into the show that last year surprised the hell out of me as it transcended being a goofy kid’s show and became a genuinely exciting and high calibre example of why cartoons aren’t just for kids. The lions and thei

That is the question we have been asking ourselves again and again for decades now as each game-to-movie project has not seen the most favourable of results. From the damn awful Mario Bros, to the ‘meh’ inducing Prince Of Persia, and the guilty pleasure of the Resident Evil franchise (that is so far away from what the games are, it might as well be a different property at this point) we have yet to get that one film that proves to gamers that their most beloved characters and stories can be trusted in the hands of Holly Wood. And 2016 seemed to be the year that we would get proof we needed that videogames could be made into good movies. But after Warcraft’s terrible critical reception earlier last year, all of our hopes and dreams have been left on the shoulders of one lonely Assassin. So did the Assassin’s
