Are You Ready for Comic Con 2017’s Ready Player One Teaser: Ready…Set…

(Image sourced from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMiZ1pffwQ4 ) The Facts: Nerds across the globe have flocked to San Diego this week for the biggest celebration of pop culture of the year. Of course I am talking abut San Diego Comic Con, the place where all of our favourite nerdy TV shows, Movies, Comics, you name it, get teased, announced and gawked at for 3 spectacular days of unfiltered wish fulfilment.   And while this year’s show hasn’t really been a massively mind-blowing experience in the realm of announcements, and I am trying (emphasis on trying, thanks auto lay FaceBook videos) to avoid the second wave of trailers for the upcoming Marvel and DC movies, there was one trailer at this years convention that blew me away. (Image sourced from http://www.magic925.com/jaggerandkristi/comic-con-2017-survival-guide-get-tickets/ ) And if you couldn’t guess from the headline of this article, the trailer was for Ready Player One, the beloved nerdom novel by E

(Image sourced from https://wall.alphacoders.com/by_sub_category.php?id=245930 ) When first announced, a set of prequels to the classic but very strange sci-fi series Planet of the Apes (not the Tim Burton one) really garnered no interest from me. When the first in the trilogy was released it was a solid movie that saw CGI technology ‘Rise’ above what we thought was possible, with the master of performances capture at its helm, Andy Serkis. After I saw it once though, it never really creped up in my mind again. But then we saw the ‘Dawn’ of this ape led planet and all of our eyes were opened. The sequel upheld and actually improved the technological prowess the series showed when creating these, at this point, photo realistic walking talking apes. On top of that it had a painfully compelling story, fantastic action, and character development that turned these animals not into people, because in this universe that’d be an insult, but into dynamic, complex and living breathing ch

BurtonReviews Baby Driver: The Ultimate Driving Playlist

(Image sourced from http://www.hdwallpapers.in/baby_driver_2017_4k_8k-wallpapers.html ) After a troubled road trying to get the Antman movie off the ground, but creative differences between the director and Marvel Studios, we were robbed of experiencing another one of this man’s phenomenal films. Of course the man I am talking about is one Britain ’s most talented directors Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, and so many other top notch films). Knowing this injustice couldn’t stand, Wright is back to balance the scales with a high octane heist movie that has a soundtrack every driver will want. (Video sourced from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTvJJnoWIPk )   The story of Baby Driver follows Baby (Ansel Elgot), an enigmatic but insanely talented driver for Kevin Spacey’s ingenious crime-lord, Doc. Trying to pay off a debt to Doc, Baby must complete these heist jobs to earn his freedom and get out of this not so nice business. But with a new s

(Image sourced from http://www.superherohype.com/news/379489-transformers-the-last-knight-poster-officially-released )   Here we are again. Another other year, another metallic CGI splodge hurtled at the screen from a screaming high velocity cannon that doesn’t care who or what is in its way, because its got too many explosions going on in its ears to hear anyone’s screams for mercy. Yes, of course I am talking about the Transformers franchise and its latest, and fifth sequel, The Last Knight. And if the word “Last” gives you hope that this will be the last Transformers film, sorry, a mid credits teaser makes that word all the more redundant. After a surprisingly well structured and genuinely exciting first outing for the Transformers, every sequel since has been met with much chagrin; with complaints of nonsensical plots, flat characters, unintelligible fight scenes, and lets be honest, a last act that even though you know its objectively bad, you cant help but let your inner c
